At Girlguiding Leicestershire we want to thank all our volunteers for their contribution to guiding - it's an important way to make sure people stay with us.
Awards are a wonderful way to celebrate the achievements of members and recognised volunteers in your team. You can use an award to recognise:
- Commendable conduct
- Outstanding and excellent service
- Long service
If you know of someone whose contribution/achievement could be recognised in one of the ways described below, please contact your local Commissioner, or the County Awards Adviser via email@example.com or Girlguiding Leicestershire County office, for advice.

Do you know someone who has given outstanding service at a local level? Someone who has made a real impact to guiding locally? Then please nominate them for a Chief Commissioner's Award.
Any person can nominate a member of Girlguiding Midlands for this award; however application forms must be signed by the local commissioner and the county commissioner. 'Whilst it is possible for volunteers to nominate family members for this award, we encourage them to ensure the nomination is made by another volunteer from the unit of district/division. Where there is not possible please consult your division or county commissioner.
Forms may be obtained from County Commissioners, County Awards Adviser, or downloaded from the Region Web site. A special event at which the awards are presented by the Midland Region Chief Commissioner takes place annually. Nominations must be selected by the County Awards committee or by the County Commissioner in the absence of a committee.
